GRADEMAN/GRADESPERSON COURSE
Outline and Overview
The objective of this Grademan / Gradeperson training is to provide knowledge and practical application of the knowledge required to be proficient in grade setting, grade control and construction elevations. This work is challenging since it involves a broad understanding and construction drawings, the systems being constructed, the variety of manual and automatic levels and laser instruments, and of course the need for accuracy.
The training outlined in the following sections, where possible, uses methods of understanding which have a direct relationship to underground municipal piping, catchbasins, manholes, trenches and work that is carried out on or under public roadways. In this way, it is the desire of Waterworks Technology School to make the undertaking of this particular training as relevant as possible to workers involved in municipal water and wastewater systems, as well as those involved in site service work and subdivision construction.
