Certificate in Waterworks Technology
COURSE OUTLINE
The "Certificate in Waterworks Technology" course is
12 weeks (full time) or 22 weeks (part-time, evening course) in duration. Waterworks Tech takes a practical approach
to learning with classroom instructor led
training which includes hands-on skills learning. With
the components of waterworks construction right in the
classroom, such as fire hydrants, valves, fittings, pipe
and so on, a student does not need to rely solely on
learning from a book. Hands-on practical ability is
considered just as important as theoretical knowledge
when out in the real world of waterworks construction
and maintenance.Occasional field trips to
interesting waterworks locations as well as skills
practice outside make this course what some students
refer to as an excellent learning experience. For field
trips you will require safety footwear which need not be
new.
The "Certificate in Waterworks Technology" is a
designated program under the B.C. / Canada Student Loans
/ Grants Program, as well as a being a designated
program under Service Canada.
