WHAT IS WATERWORKS?
Waterworks is best known as the design, manufacture, distribution, installation, operation and maintenance of pipes, valves, hydrants, manholes, catch basins, and specialty accessories used in water and sewer systems in our communities .
At Waterworks Technology School we place emphasis on the installation and maintenance aspects of the industry, celebrating 11 years of industry training. The certification course provides water and utilities construction training through technical instruction and hands-on practical learning, graduating with a post-secondary Certificate in Waterworks Technology . Graduates achieving suitable results are also granted competency tickets in:

- Fire Hydrant Maintenance & Rebuilds
- Drilling & Tapping PVC & Ductile Pipe

Someone who may not enjoy front line construction work can take an alternate path by specializing in one of the more technical aspects of the industry, for example fusion of high density polyethylene pipe, fire hydrant maintenance and rebuilds, drilling & tapping, estimating and project tendering, water meter installation & repair.
All of these skills are valuable across Canada and throughout the world. In southern British Columbia , the waterworks industry enjoys the uniqueness of having a twelve month working environment.
